I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
